Welcome to Cal State East Bay Student Employment
Cal State East Bay is committed to providing students with meaningful on-campus employment experiences that support their educational goals and prepare them for success in a diverse and evolving workforce. Through student employment, our undergraduate and graduate students gain valuable skills, strengthen their career readiness, and engage more deeply with the campus community.
Our mission is to ensure an equitable, consistent, and supportive hiring process for both student employees and campus supervisors. We strive to create high-quality employment experiences by offering clear guidance, collaborative support, and opportunities for learning and professional growth. Together, we work to empower students as they develop the knowledge, confidence, and competencies needed to thrive as future leaders in the region and beyond.

Student employment opportunities on campus are thoughtfully structured to serve three key objectives:
- Support University Operations – Provide part-time assistance across a range of instructional, administrative and programmatic areas essential to campus life.
- Offset Educational Costs – Offer students meaningful employment that helps supplement their income and ease the financial burden of college.
- Enhance Career Readiness – Deliver hands-on work experience – ideally aligned with students’ academic majors – to support their career development.
Your gateway to job opportunities (including on-campus), internships, and career events tailored for CSUEB students.

The Career Empowerment Center proudly celebrates National Student Employment Week (NSEW) each year during the second week of April. This week is dedicated to honoring the dedication and impact of student employees and their supervisors across Cal State East Bay.

1.
Recognizing student contributions to the campus community through their work in various departments and roles.

2.
Expressing appreciation to campus departments for mentoring, supporting,
and empowering student workers.

3.
Highlighting career development by showcasing the career-readiness skills students gain, guided by the NACE Core Competencies and our Pioneer Grow supervisor model.

4.
Raising awareness of the value and availability of student employment opportunities as integral to both personal and professional growth.
Here is a list (not exhaustive) of other external job and internship site search engines. There is not a one size fits all approach when it comes to searching for jobs and internships. We encourage all students to diversify their search strategies and use any of the job aggregators that best fit your needs.
