Pioneer Pathways is the Career Empowerment Center’s Micro-Internship program—designed to connect employers with Cal State East Bay students through short-term, project-based experiences that support both professional development and real workplace needs. These experiences build career readiness without the time commitment of a traditional internship.
Why Pioneer Pathways?
Pioneer Pathways projects are:
- Flexible – Can be completed remotely, asynchronously, co-curricularly, or embedded into academic courses.
- Focused – Typically range from 5 – 40 hours, ideal for short-term tasks.
- Impactful – Great for handling those lingering projects like research, social media, marketing, data analysis, and more.
- Low-risk, high-reward – A great way to engage motivated East Bay talent without a long-term hiring commitment.
