Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, care for, and ensure the safety of youth in residential and detention facilities.
- Conduct recreational activities, crisis intervention, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain security and assess life skills, risks, and needs of youth in group and individual settings.
- Assist in observing and recording youth behavior management for casework services, and providing coaching and counseling.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Must be 21+ years old and meet Peace Officer standards.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law.
- No felony convictions.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License (Class B with Passenger Endorsement within 90 days of appointment).
- Completion of 40-hour training at the Training Academy, on arrest laws and other mandatory courses post-hiring (within 90 days of appointment).
