The Career Empowerment Center just wrapped hosting the Healthcare Career and Internship Fair! It was a great success with a total of 295 students in attendance and 27 employers participating in the event. Companies ranging from behavioral, child-care, and home-care shared their experiences and open opportunities with the students.
CSUEB student Danielle Islas shared that her experience with the fair “was a great opportunity to interact with many different employers.” Islas, a business major, found many potential positions she did not initially think would align with her degree but many employers shared opportunities available that encompassed many different skill sets.
Proficio Therapy Services, official CEC employer partner, was one of the employers that attended the fair and specializes in Speech language Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, and Occupational Therapy.
Allied Health Career Specialist, Kritika Sharma, had many positive insights from her experience attending the fair.
“Attending the CSU East Bay Healthcare Career and Internship Fair was an incredible privilege. It provided my team and I with the opportunity to meet and connect with some of the most talented, passionate, and driven students. The enthusiasm and commitment these students showed toward supporting children with disabilities speak volumes about their character and the bright future they are shaping in healthcare. Engaging with such talented and compassionate individuals reminded us why events like these are so important—they connect us with those who share our mission of changing lives for the better.”
