Over 450 students attended Cal State East Bay’s Career Empowerment Center’s Business and Tech Career and Internship Fair! 30 plus employers attended the fair to share opportunities related to full-time, part-time, and internship employment.
Students were able to network with various companies and learn more about their individual hiring trends. Students dropped off resumes to employers in attendance, as well as connected with fellow students who have similar interests in their respective careers. At the Business and Tech Career and Internship Fair, students could practice their interviewing skills and explore different career paths.
“I think this event helped with my networking skills, the [Career Empowerment Center] was able to make my resume better and I was able to have more meaningful connections. I saw many companies that were interesting and friendly,” shared Rex Chow, senior at Cal State East Bay.
The fair featured official Career Empowerment Center partners, Cintas and The Sherwin-Williams Group.
Scott Wallace, Cintas General Manager of Oakland, said “the event was great and we found great students about to take the next step in their interview process. We’ve also onboarded a spring graduate to our management trainee program. It helps students improve their self-esteem and build confidence.”
From practicing elevator pitches to engaging in meaningful conversations, Cal State East Bay students were able to get a head start on their career paths by attending the fair to learn more from the employers present.
