Cal State East Bay’s Career Empowerment Center doesn’t stop working for students even after they turn their tassels and accept their diploma! CEC Career Counselor, Matt Harris, hosted a summer workshop for 28 recent graduates. This workshop was a two-part series that took place during June and July, where he shared best practices on how to find employment after graduation. His goal was to impart practical knowledge and spread awareness to as many graduates as possible on career development. Harris explained the importance of professional development even after graduation. During these workshops, he helped students in attendance workshop their resumes and cover letters.
For job seeking graduates who are still searching for the right position, Harris encourages them to utilize platforms like Jobscan to craft their resumes and Handshake to explore potential employment opportunities.
